Who I am
My name is Daniela Díaz Isla. I am an interpreter and translator working with Spanish, English and Russian: simultaneous, consecutive and written. Spanish and Russian are my native languages — I am bilingual — and my English is at an advanced working level. I also teach Spanish.
Who I have worked with
My clients include Inter RAO UES and Inter RAO Export, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Federal Customs Service. I have interpreted at sessions of the intergovernmental commissions between Russia and Argentina, Cuba and Venezuela, worked at the World Food and Prodexpo trade fairs, at the Artlife art festival, during the tour of the National Theatre of Spain and at the Moscow International Film Festival. I also work with translation agencies in Moscow and St Petersburg.
How I work
- I prepare in advance. Before the event I study your materials, build a glossary and agree names, titles and terms with you.
- You get the price before the work starts. The quote is fixed in writing and no extra charges appear along the way.
- I keep things confidential. Materials are never passed to third parties and I sign an NDA on request.
- I can build a team. If one interpreter is not enough, I bring in trusted colleagues and take on the coordination myself.
Languages and subject areas
Spanish ⇄ Russian, English ⇄ Russian, Spanish ⇄ English. Subject areas: energy, industry and equipment, customs and logistics, education and science, culture, cinema and art, business negotiations.
If you have a large project coming up that needs more than one interpreter, write to me. I will put the team together and answer for the result.
